Wedding band cost,
printed on the programme
like everything else
A professional live wedding band costs $3,400 to $12,500+ with The Velvelettes. The Club Set starts at $3,400, most weddings book The Revue from $6,900, and the two-act Grand Revue starts at $12,500. Every quote is itemized. Prices include PA, lighting, an engineer and an MC, because a Motown tribute band that shows up without production isn't a professional vendor.

Why "from"
What moves the price, in plain terms
Five variables set your final quote. Nothing else does, and every one of them appears as its own line on the proposal.
Date and season
Peak Saturdays May through October carry the from-price. Fridays, Sundays and winter dates often quote below it.
Distance from Detroit
The first 150 miles are included. Beyond that, travel and lodging are billed at cost, quoted up front. We route all 48 contiguous states.
Extra sets
Want the band past the programmed show? Additional live time runs about $900 per hour as a guide, confirmed on your quote.
Ceremony + cocktail add-on
A stripped trio for the ceremony and a softer cocktail set start at $800. Details on the live wedding band page.
Staging size
A ballroom for 500 needs more rig than a club for 80. Bigger rooms may add lighting and PA scale, always itemized, never assumed.
Never on the bill
No booking fees, no agency markup, no "production surcharge." If a line isn't explained, you don't pay it.

Cost questions, straight answers
The three questions every budget meeting asks
Why "from" prices?
Because date, distance and staging genuinely change the cost; your quote pins the exact number before you sign anything.
What do most weddings actually spend?
Most book The Revue and land between $6,900 and $8,500 all-in, including the first-dance arrangement and DJ sets.
Is a live band worth it over a DJ?
For a show your guests watch and retell, yes; we published the honest math in how much does a live band cost for a wedding.
