These terms govern your use of velvelettes.com. They are short, because the site is simple: it lets you learn about the revue, check our availability for a date, and join a mailing list.
Who we are
The Velvelettes are an independent modern vocal-harmony revue based in Detroit, Michigan, performing the 1960s soul songbook at weddings, corporate events and festivals. When these terms say we, us or the band, they mean The Velvelettes and our booking office. You can reach us at [email protected].
What this site is for
The site presents the revue, lets you build a sample show program, check availability for a date, and join the Soul Club, our monthly letter. Using the site costs nothing and creates no obligation on either side.
Inquiries are not bookings
Sending an availability inquiry does not reserve a date. A booking exists only when both sides have signed a performance contract and we have received the 50% deposit; the balance is due show week. Quotes from the booking office are valid for 14 days from the date we send them, and availability can change until the contract is signed.
The performance contract governs the show
Everything about a specific engagement, including cancellation terms, riders, overtime, staging and the payment schedule, lives in the individual performance contract. This page governs the website only. If this page and a signed contract ever disagree about an engagement, the contract wins.
Acceptable use
Use the site as a normal visitor. Do not submit email addresses that are not yours, probe or disrupt the site, scrape it at volume, or use the forms to send anything unlawful. We may block traffic that abuses the signup flow.
Intellectual property
The text, design, photography and the 45 mark on this site belong to The Velvelettes and may not be reused without written permission. Song titles appear on this site as part of our live cover repertoire, which is standard practice for tribute and event acts. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any recording artist or label.
No warranties
The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and content such as package prices may change between visits. The price that binds us is the one in your written quote and contract.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Liability connected to a performance is addressed in the performance contract, not here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always posted here with its effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
