Wedding band in Dallas:
a staged Motown revue, not a cover set
Hiring a wedding band in Dallas usually means a top-40 group in a ballroom. The Velvelettes are a different night out: a staged Motown and soul revue with three voices, live horns, choreography and an MC, priced from $3,400 to $12,500.
We have played an Uptown hotel ballroom, a Design District warehouse and a ranch venue west of Fort Worth. Dallas is a fly date from Detroit; the band arrives the day before and the production truck leaves two days ahead, so the PA, lighting and wardrobe are waiting when we land.
Texas wedding season peaks in spring and fall, and those Saturdays book 12 to 18 months out. Summer dates work too; we schedule soundcheck ahead of the afternoon heat and keep the horns in the shade until downbeat.

Before you ask
Dallas questions, answered
Is there a travel fee to Dallas?
Yes. Dallas is a fly date beyond our 150-mile radius, so travel is quoted per date with the availability check. One line covers flights, freight and lodging; nothing surfaces later.
Do you know Dallas venues?
We advance every room with your venue contact, requesting the floor plan, dock access and power spec ahead of the date. Big Texas ballrooms load in kindly; we still confirm everything.
Do you play both weddings and corporate events in Dallas?
Yes. Dallas splits between weddings and corporate events for us, and the booking process is identical: contract, 50% deposit, COI.
