Wedding band San Francisco:
a Motown and soul revue for the Bay Area

A wedding band in San Francisco competes with the view, and has to win anyway. The Velvelettes bring a staged Motown and soul revue to the Bay Area: three voices, live horns, choreography and an MC, with transparent packages from $3,400 to $12,500.

One weekend it is a downtown ballroom with a lobby you cross with every road case, the next a Sonoma or Napa estate an hour north, or a rooftop with the bridge behind the dance floor. San Francisco is a fly date from Detroit. We arrive the day before, and the stage plot, insurance certificate and power spec reach your venue in the advance; city buildings and wine-country barns want very different things, and we ask which before we load in.

Bay Area peak is a long one, May through October, and those Saturdays go 12 to 18 months out. Outdoor and rooftop sites frequently run a 10 pm amplified-sound curfew, and estates in the wine counties can cut off earlier still, so we build the set times backward from the strictest number on the permit.

Before you ask

San Francisco questions, answered

Is there a travel fee to San Francisco?

Yes. San Francisco is beyond our 150-mile no-fee radius, so travel is quoted per date, airfare and freight included, and shown plainly when you check availability.

Do you play wine-country weddings north of the city?

Regularly. Napa, Sonoma and Carneros estates are some of the best rooms we play, and the only real difference from a city booking is a stricter curfew and a longer load-in path across gravel. We plan both into the advance so the show still ends big.

Do you play both weddings and corporate events in San Francisco?

Yes. The Bay Area books us for wedding receptions and corporate and tech-company events in roughly equal measure, under one contract and the same COI process.
