Wedding band in NYC:
the Motown revue, staged for New York
A wedding band in NYC competes with the best rooms in the country, and we book accordingly. The Velvelettes bring a staged Motown and soul revue to New York: three voices, live horns, real choreography and an MC, priced from $3,400 to $12,500.
We have played a Midtown hotel ballroom, a converted loft under the Brooklyn Bridge and a garden house out in Prospect Heights, and every New York date runs the same way: we fly in the day before, production is loaded and checked by evening, and your venue holds the stage plot and COI well before then.
New York Saturdays go 12 to 18 months ahead, and fly dates need the earliest confirmation of any city we play, because flights and freight are booked the week the contract is signed. If your date is set, check it now.

How a New York date runs
Travel
New York is a fly date. We arrive the day before the show, and production is loaded in and checked before the evening ends.
Setup
90-minute setup, 30-minute soundcheck, two 20A circuits and about 16 by 12 ft of floor for The Revue.
Good to know
We work smoothly in union houses, and we plan Manhattan load-ins around freight elevator windows so the venue never chases us.

Before you ask
New York questions, answered
Is there a travel fee to NYC?
Yes. New York is a fly date beyond our 150-mile radius, so travel is quoted per date and itemized in the quote. Run the availability check and the figure comes back with your date.
Do you know New York venues?
We advance every room with your venue contact: floor plan, power spec, freight elevator window and set times, all confirmed ahead of the date. That discipline matters more in New York than anywhere.
Do you play both weddings and corporate events in NYC?
Yes. New York gives us weddings one weekend and corporate events the next; COI, W-9 and Net-30 invoicing are standard either way.
