A wedding band in Phoenix has to play through desert heat and resort logistics without losing the room, and this one does. The Velvelettes bring a staged Motown and soul revue to the Valley of the Sun: three voices, live horns, choreography and an MC, with transparent packages from $3,400 to $12,500 and no house-band markup.
One weekend it is a Scottsdale resort ballroom with a loading dock and a stagehand call, the next a desert estate in Paradise Valley, a Camelback foothills terrace or a venue out toward the McDowells. Phoenix is a fly date from Detroit. We arrive the day before, and the stage plot, insurance certificate and power spec reach your venue and its production office in the advance; big-property ballrooms and independent desert sites run on very different rules, and we ask which before we quote the labor.
Phoenix weddings cluster in the cool months, October through April, because summer afternoons run well past 100 degrees, and those peak Saturdays book 12 to 18 months out. Outdoor and pool-deck sites carry amplified-sound curfews, and shaded staging matters for an afternoon ceremony, so we build the set times and the load-in backward from the heat of the day and whichever curfew is on your event order.

Is there a travel fee to Phoenix?
Yes. Phoenix is beyond our 150-mile no-fee radius, so travel is quoted per date, airfare and freight included, and shown plainly when you check availability.
Can you play an outdoor desert wedding in the heat?
Yes, with a plan. We need shaded staging and covered gear for any afternoon set above about 95 degrees, which most Valley venues already provide, and we chart the timeline so the band plays as the day cools. We advance the venue for power and cover ahead of the date so nothing is improvised in the sun.
Do you play both weddings and corporate events in Phoenix?
Yes. Scottsdale and Phoenix host heavy resort-conference and incentive business, so the Valley books us for wedding receptions and corporate and conference events in roughly equal measure, under one contract and the same COI process.
